Thomas Overdick I could inifinitely listen to these gentle sketches. Thank you for the beauty.

julian_edge Heyne's music invites listeners to create their own unique insights along paths that only music can open up. I found Ludwig's Wonder the most immediately accessible track, somehow summoning the strength of an orchestral tradition in an utterly twenty-first century style. My current favourite is Yugen, Heyne's explicit conjuring of the Japanese concept of an obscure beauty, fully felt if only partly perceivable, in a darkness full of potential. Favorite track: Yugen.

about

An album of new solo electric guitar compositions by Martyn Heyne.

'Absolutely gorgeous, muted, it’s quite hymn-like as well. There are textures here that you might also find in the music of Manuel de Falla. I think you can hear the influence of Bach’s Lute works in this piece as well. There is a real intimacy to this recording.'
— Elizabeth Alker, Unclassified, BBC3

'At times hauntingly beautiful, at times ridiculously catchy and memorable'
— The Adam Brady Show, Louder Than War Radio
